The idea for the sketch shown below came into my head while standing in the hospital parking lot staring at (listening to) a large generator drowning out the efforts of two smaller generators. As I stood there it suddenly dawned on me that I was looking at the reality of present day South Africa.
The ANC Government promising power to the people (Amandla, Awetu!) The unfortunate reality is that the government has mostly empowered itself, and a few friends. The people have ended up having to generate generate power for themselves.
Eskom will celebrate it's centenary on 1 March 2023
