What you see is sometimes not there!

Ladies Torso paintedI did so to make it easier for me to read and reference them. Also to get my family to read them.

Like everyone else who is able to see, what you see is perceived in your head. That perception is not always the same for everyone. Sight, like all our other senses is precious, and we should always be mindful of how we treat our sensors, our eyes, ears, taste buds etc.

When I look, not necessarily at anything in particular, I sometimes see what is not there. This happened one morning while I was lying in bed. I was basically staring across the room at nothing in particular, when I became aware of a woman standing against the wall where it meets the window and the net curtain.

She was so striking that I decided to photograph what I was looking at. The image appears above this text on the left.

That is where it would have ended if my granddaughter who had just returned from Haga Haga, had not recently given me a rock. She had picked it up on the beach down at Haga Haga. When she saw the pattern on it, I guess she thought of me. When I look at it (see below), I think I see a beetle. If she was seeing me, then the beetle better look a bit like George Harrison.

As they say, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
