Along time ago when the earth was green (and wet), I found myself sitting in the Delport home in Ireland. I was sitting on a couch with my grand daughter Ingrid. We were waiting for her Mum to put the finishing touches to the evening meal.
To keep ourselves occupied Ingrid and I paged through Richard Scarry's Best Picture Dictionary Ever. I remember myself thinking that this little girl was quite smart. I have never ever thought otherwise.
Well, it turns out I was right, as she has just completed her bachelor's degree. Well done Ingrid!
What I did not know while Ingrid and I were sitting on that coach in Ireland, was how hard working and diligent Ingrid would prove to be. I know that now, and I am sure she is going to be invaluable where ever she chooses to work.
