Pincushion Protea

Some time (MONTHS) ago we bought into the Panic Button System that had been introduced at our complex. When we received them I mounted the three buttons within our home in three strategically suitable locations.

The Panic Buttons had chains attached to them. I assumed they were for carrying/hanging/whatever. I removed the chains from two of the buttons before I mounted the buttons. I also hung the two removed chains from a hook attached to a shelf in our garage (my workshop).

Recently we received a memorandum from XYZ, the company that oversees our complex. The memorandum dealt with the Panic Buttons, and for the first time I learned that the CHAINS were in fact AERIALs. WHOA!!!, that means I should not have removed them. I will shortly repace them.

During the months since I installed the three Panic Buttons in our unit, I have wondered whether they have ever been tested. I am still wondering.

Old Age is not a condition.
Nor is it a curse.
It is a place you travel to, and
if you are fortunate enough to reach it,
then like mature wine,
it sould be savoured!
