In the distant past I read the following expression:

A Zulu (male's) strength are his sons, for they are his spears!

If I was to adapt it to this day and age, it would have to read,

A Zulu's strength are his/her sons and daughters, for they are his/her Impi!

I would also have to define "Impi" to mean, "those s/he can rely on when s/he needs extra help!".

That has certainly been the case for me during the past five weeks. I never felt alone!!!

I can only hope that what I have given them as a Dad, measures up to to what they have done for me.

I now have a Family Motto:

In familia mea robur meum residet!
