To celebrate May Day this evening I walked the route Edith and I used to walk the dogs on most evenings since we moved to Protea Gardens. I did it using two crutches. The last time I walked the route was the evening before I went into MEDICLINIC Hospital for a Check-UP.

Walking in the in the late afternoon / early evening at Protea Gardens one inevitably meets other residents doing the same thing. Mostly you meet the same folk and this often results in a brief stop, and a short chat, with folk we now consider to be friends.

I owe these folk a vote of thanks as they generously supported Edith while I was unable to walk with her. What they did, and are still doing, makes Protea Gardens a very special place.
