My recovery from the mild stroke I had during my Triple Bypass surgery almost a year ago, is going well. Currently I typically go for two walks a day. When I walk, I carry the Amazon walking stick in my right hand, and walk in much the same manner as I did before the surgery, carrying my Dogs Head walking stick. However now I also carry a crutch in my left hand as a safety precaution. It remains elevated and whie I initially kept it in a stationary position sligthly ahead of my left side, I know swing my left arm juxtaposed to my right arm as one would do while walking. So far I have not had to use it. Photographs of the two walking sticks and the crutch can be seen below.
After my walk this morning, I noticed that the clasp that clamps my left upper arm at the top of the crutch, was loose. One of the small bolts that holds it in position, had fallen out. So I took the crutch into that garage in the hope that I would be able to find a replacement bolt and nut in my tray of bolts and nuts. Given that most of the bolts and nuts in the tray are not small, I was not that optimistic. However I was in luck. Right on top of tray there was a packet of small bolts and nuts that fitted the bill.
The replacement bolt and nut was fitted and the crutch was once again, 'Good to go!!!', and that is exactly what happened. However there is a sting in the tail of this tale. When I was putting the walking stick back into the hall stand, I spotted the bolt and nut that had fallen out of the crutch, at the foot of the Hall Stand.
Now I am faced with a dilema, and I am sure yoou have already spotted it!
