This blog is a response to questions and comments about where and when the sun rises and sets on days that coincide with the Solstices. I am of course particularly interested in the Winter Solstice. It heralds the return of, 'O sole mio', a longer day on the morrow, and ultimately Summer, my time of the year.

Whether the Sun shines or does not shine now also affects our financial well being given that we installed a Solar Panel Auxiliary System shortly after we moved into our Protea Gardens Unit.
