  1. Received a flash disk heap of photographs from Manie Breytenbach (Thanks!) and will now work at including some of them.
  2. Replaced the Class Photograph on this page and also added one of the Staff.
  3. Manie's flash disk included a PDF copy of the School Magazine. There is a direct link (and a file type / size warning) to the Skoolblad under the Gallery heading.
  4. The link to the Skoolblad pics that I obtained from the WhatsApp group are now in a sense superflous and I will remove the images and the link some time in the future. If there is a need for it I could extract all the photographs from the School Magazine (PDF file) and and make them available as JPEG images much the same as the ones from the WhatsApp group.
  5. Manie's disk also contained a movie clip. There is a direct link (and a file type / size warning) to the movie clip under the Gallery heading.

  1. This web page is a proposal that is open to discussion and suggestions. If I am to do it, I would like to keep it relatively simply and within the reach of my limited web development skills. Also within a manageable development time frame and ongoing commitment.
  2. The image above is the one posted to the Grey-65 WhatsApp group. I manipulated it in order to square it up. Unfortunately that has made the okes in the top half of the photograph thinner than they actually were at the time :-)
  3. Below the class photographs there is a gallery with links to various albums. The Jaarblad and Leith House album pics are also from the WhatsApp group postings and appear as is. Manie is in the process of sending me his collection of photographs and I will work with these when I have received them.
  4. The Class List link points to a page that contains an entry for myself. The entry includes three thumbnails that relate / identify me then and now. If you hover over a thumbnail some text relating to the pic will pop up if there is such text. I would be happy to / would like to build up a class list containing similar entries for the whole class. If you click on the thumbnail a larger copy of the image pops up. If you click on the page again, the popup disappears. I can and will create the initial list by simply copying names from the class photograph. To add up to three photographs with optional additional text I would have to receive that material from the respective individuals.
  5. The setup works relatively well when viewed using a PC. When viewed on a mobile device it is not that great. The first problem is the pages may have to be zoomed to be read/viewed. The second problem is the class list images and accompanying text. There is no mouse pointer to hover in order to view accompanying text should there be such text. If you tap a thumbnail the larger image pops up and if it is in turn tapped you return to the previous screen that now displays the text should there be such text. It may have to be zoomed in order to be read. I AM WORKING ON THIS PROBLEM.
  6. Currently this web setup resides within my own setup. It can stay there for the foreseeable future or be moved it that is necessary. Either way, if it sticks around consideration should be given to registering a domain name for the site such as www.grey65.co.za.
